My Anonymous Parcels
80 x 60 cm | Oil on canvas 2026
Living alone in London, I started receiving anonymous parcels almost every week.
Some were funny, some unsettling, some strangely intimate, and others completely random. Over time, the collection became absurd enough to turn into a painting.
In this work, I documented the actual objects I received: books, lights, fake AirPods, a cowboy hat, probiotics for dogs, a pleasure pump, an electric razor, a vibrator, and other oddly specific items from an unknown sender.
Arranged like inventory squares or evidence boxes, the painting explores anonymity, modern loneliness, humour, discomfort, and the strange intimacy of being perceived by someone you cannot identify.
I eventually reported the situation to the Metropolitan Police, but the investigation was later closed due to “no reasonable lines of enquiry.”
A personal archive of mystery told through objects.
