A Pause in Time

I was rushing home from work one day in Putney, London, when I spotted a woman sitting alone on a park bench, reading. All around her were flowers, trees, and birds and she was completely at peace, as if the world had slowed down just for her.

I took a photo and carried that image with me for two years. Eventually, I knew I had to paint it.

We live in a world that never stops moving. But nature doesn't rush. It just exists, calm, colourful, and always there when we need it. This painting is a reminder that it's okay to pause, to breathe, and to simply be present.

Painted in bold, vibrant oils, A Pause in Time is my little celebration of stillness in the middle of a busy life.
